About Me

Hello and welcome to my page!

As a Pennsylvania native, I’m a person who loves the outdoors. My wife and I live in Meadville currently with our dog, Faith. We both love traveling and spending time near the water. I’ve built my office around being able to work remotely but I’m open to relocation if the right opportunity presents itself.

In my professional life, I have spent over 20 years in technology sales, support, and training through various companies such as RadioShack, Best Buy, Samsung, and NWH. This has allowed me to become more proficient as a public speaker, learn to stay adaptable to various personalities and situations, and illustrated that putting the user first is always an effective way to produce a better overall product or outcome.

My current role is in the manufacturing industry as an IT Business Analyst. My current role spans across many disciplines that include, but are not limited to, process mapping, process optimization, user research, systems/application support, project management, and change management. I’ve been involved, at several stages, with projects centered around optimization and automation. With many different teams bringing a wide variety of experience and needs to a situation, the primary skills that I utilize most often are adaptability and empathy. Being able to see through the perspective of both the user and stakeholder has proven to be the most useful ability that I’ve carried with me over the years.

I discovered the UX / UI field due to the concepts and skills learned during both my undergrad, and graduate, programs. The more I learn, the greater my desire to grow more proficient becomes. UX concepts put into perspective how important it is not to simply invent and innovate, but to do so with the desired user in focus with each element. Even the best technology in the world is useless if it’s inaccessible to the intended user.

Much like my logo brings different shapes together to all point in the same direction, one of the best skills that I bring to any team is the ability to bring users and stakeholders together in a way that joins them together toward a central goal. Adaptability to many situations, and being able to get many people on the same page, is an incredibly useful methods for achieving positive results in any project.

I received my undergraduate degree from American Intercontinental University and my graduate degree from Kent State University. In both situations, I did so online while working full-time. They both provided me opportunities to experience not only the design and development fields, but how to utilize that information through the lens of the intended user of the software, hardware, or process
